‘The opponent within ones mind is more formidable than the opponent on the other side of the net’
The Inner Game of Tennis, W Timothy Gallwey
Coaching operates on the principal that increased awareness and understanding can help us improve pretty much any situation. It involves exploring things like our beliefs, our drivers, our strengths, our internal narratives, our blind spots, and our values. We establish what we really want and what is getting in our way.
In our coaching sessions we can use tools, and assessments, but mostly, coaching is a series of deep-dive conversations, each of which has a particular focus. Over time you can develop new thinking patterns, literally new neural networks, which can reduce overwhelm and make it easier to achieve your goals.
These are the kinds of challenges that coaching can help with
Imposter Syndrome that is holding you back from achieving your potential
Finding your leadership style in an organisation, that aligns with your own personal values
Workplace politics and difficult conversations, feeling like the ‘bad cop’.
Surviving a restructure or biting the bullet and taking redundancy
Bullying and Harrassment in an environment where speaking up never feels like an option
Workloads that are unmanageable and burnout has become a phrase that suddenly has more resonance
Health Challenges - your own or within your family - that feel incompatible with your work life
Feeling stuck, unfulfilled and wanting more from your life than your current trajectory seems to offer
Navigating divorce or bereavement while keeping your game face on at work
There’s no right or wrong reason to get a coach. Get in touch and find out how it could help in your particular circumstances.
